Lizzi

    Terms of service

    Published 17 October 2026

    About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Dozijn13, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 61499072, with its registered office at Loefzijde 11, 1034 KW Amsterdam, the Netherlands ("Lizzi", "we", "us"), for using Lizzi on the web at lizzi.app and in the Lizzi iPhone app. By creating an account you agree to these terms, including the data processing agreement in the annex at the end, and you confirm you have read our privacy policy.

Lizzi is for people and organisations who use it in the course of a business or profession, including self-employed promoters, door staff and organisers. It is not offered to consumers. By creating an account you confirm that you are not using Lizzi as a consumer.

    The service

Lizzi lets you create an organisation, add events, build guest lists, invite guests by email or by a link you share, collect their answers, share promo links that people use to put themselves on the list, and check guests in at the door. You can invite team members to help, with roles that limit what each of them can see and do.

People you invite to an event, and people who answer an invitation or claim a promo link, do not need an account and are not bound by these terms, but their data is covered by our privacy policy and your responsibilities below.

We keep improving Lizzi and may add, change or remove features. If we remove something that a paid plan specifically includes, we will tell the owner of each paying organisation at least 30 days in advance.

    Your account

You must give accurate details and keep them up to date, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at hello@lizzi.app if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 18 to create an account.

The owner of an organisation is responsible for the people they invite into it and for what those people do there. Each person should use their own account.

    Guest data and your responsibilities

When you put people on a guest list, you decide what is recorded about them and whether they are contacted. For that data you are the controller under the GDPR and we are your processor, processing it only on your instructions as set out in the data processing agreement in the annex.

That means you must have a lawful basis for adding each guest and for contacting them, tell them how their data is used (the invitation and promo-link pages show a notice naming your organisation as the one responsible, alongside our privacy policy), and deal with requests from guests to see, correct or delete their data. Lizzi lets you correct a guest's details or delete a guest permanently at any time, and we will help you with requests that reach us.

Record only what you need to run your event. Do not use notes or tags to record sensitive information such as health, religion, sexual orientation or criminal history, or identity documents.

Only send invitations to people you have a reason to invite. Lizzi must not be used to send unsolicited bulk email.

    Plans and payment

Lizzi has a free plan and paid plans. Solo is free. Team costs €19 a month and Venue €79 a month. Prices are shown excluding VAT, which is added where it applies. What each plan includes, such as its seats and admissions per event, is described on the pricing page, and that description is binding.

Paid plans are bought and managed on the website only, through Stripe. The iPhone app shows your current plan but does not sell plans or take payments. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from Plan and billing on the website. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and your organisation then returns to Solo. We do not refund part periods.

Moving between Team and Venue takes effect straight away. When you move to a higher plan, the difference for the rest of the current period is charged straight away. When you move to a lower plan, the unused part of the current period is credited against your next invoices.

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for up to 14 days. If it still fails, the subscription ends and the organisation returns to Solo.

We may change prices. We will tell the owner of each paying organisation at least 30 days in advance, and the change applies from the next billing period after that. You can cancel before it applies.

If you delete your account, any subscription for an organisation that is deleted with it is cancelled immediately, without a refund for the remaining period.

    Acceptable use

Do not use Lizzi to break the law or anyone's rights; to send spam or harass anyone; to collect data about people without a lawful basis; to upload content you have no right to use, or that is unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit; to try to get into accounts, organisations or data that are not yours; to probe, overload or disrupt the service, or work around its limits; or to copy, resell or build a competing service from it.

We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules, as described under "Suspension and termination".

    Your content

You keep all rights to what you put into Lizzi, such as event details, posters and guest lists. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide the service to you, for example showing your event poster on your invitation and promo-link pages. You confirm you have the right to upload it.

    Availability

We work to keep Lizzi available and to fix problems quickly, but we do not offer a service level on any plan and do not promise that Lizzi will always be available or free of errors. Check-in at the door currently needs an internet connection, so plan for a fallback at events where the connection may fail. We may need to take Lizzi offline for maintenance, and will try to do that outside typical event hours.

    Our rights

Lizzi, its software, design and name belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the service, not any ownership of it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.

    Liability

Our total liability to you, for all claims together arising from these terms or your use of Lizzi, including the data processing agreement, is limited to the fees your organisations paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused the claim, with a minimum of €100.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost ticket or bar revenue, lost data that you could have restored from your own records, reputational damage, or loss caused by a door or event that could not run as planned.

These limits do not apply where the loss is caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness (opzet of bewuste roekeloosheid), or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

To claim, you must tell us in writing at hello@lizzi.app as soon as possible and no later than six months after you became aware of the loss.

    Indemnity

You will compensate us for claims made against us by third parties, including guests, team members and supervisory authorities, to the extent they arise from guest data you put into Lizzi, your content, how you contacted your guests, or your breach of these terms, together with reasonable costs of dealing with those claims.

    Suspension and termination

You can stop using Lizzi and delete your account at any time, on the website or in the iPhone app. Deleting your account deletes every organisation you are the only owner of, with all of its events, guests and check-ins, immediately. Organisations that have another owner stay with that owner. Lizzi does not yet have a self-service export of guest lists, so if you want a copy of your data, email hello@lizzi.app before you delete and we will send it to you.

We may suspend or close an account or organisation that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, that we must close by law, or that has an unpaid subscription. Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. In case of a serious breach we may act immediately.

We may also end the service to you, or stop offering Lizzi altogether, by telling you at least 30 days in advance. If you have paid for a period that runs past that date, we will refund the unused part.

    Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell account holders by email at least 30 days before a change that affects them takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then. The date at the top shows when the current version took effect.

    Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam.

    Annex: data processing agreement

This annex is the data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR between you, as the controller of the guest data you put into Lizzi, and us, as your processor. It applies for as long as we process guest data for you, and where it conflicts with the rest of these terms on the processing of guest data, this annex prevails.

    1. Subject, nature and purpose

We process guest data only to provide Lizzi to you: storing guest lists, sending invitations and reminders you ask us to send, collecting answers and promo-link claims, and recording check-ins at your events. We do not process guest data for any purpose of our own.

    2. Data and people concerned

The people concerned are the guests on your lists, people who answer your invitations, and people who claim a spot through your promo links. The data is what you or they enter: names, email addresses, phone numbers, notes, tags, entry counts, invitation and answer history, and check-ins, as described in our privacy policy. You must not put special categories of personal data or criminal data into Lizzi.

    3. Your instructions

We process guest data only on your documented instructions. These terms, your use of Lizzi's features and your settings are your instructions. If we believe an instruction breaks the GDPR or other data protection law, we will tell you. If the law requires us to process guest data otherwise, we will tell you first unless the law forbids that.

    4. Confidentiality and security

Everyone we allow to process guest data is bound to keep it confidential. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it, including encryption in transit and at rest, access limited by the roles you assign, unguessable codes in links sent to guests and team members, and access to our systems limited to the people who need it to run Lizzi.

    5. Sub-processors

You authorise us to use the sub-processors named in our privacy policy. We bind each to data protection obligations that are at least as protective as this annex, and we remain responsible to you for them. We will tell organisation owners by email at least 30 days before we add or replace a sub-processor that processes guest data. If you object on reasonable data protection grounds and we cannot meet the objection, you may end your paid plan and delete your organisation before the change applies, and we will refund any prepaid fees for the period after it.

    6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Where a sub-processor accesses guest data from outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the sub-processor is certified under it, or otherwise by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

    7. Helping you

Taking into account what we process and the information available to us, we will help you respond to requests from guests exercising their rights, and with your security, breach notification, data protection impact assessment and prior consultation obligations. Requests from guests that reach us, we pass on to you without undue delay.

    8. Personal data breaches

We will tell you without undue delay, and where possible within 48 hours, after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your guest data, with the information we have that you need to meet your own obligations, and we will keep you informed as we learn more.

    9. Deletion at the end

When you delete a guest, an organisation or your account, we delete the guest data concerned as described in our privacy policy, except where the law requires us to keep it. Copies in backups are deleted when those backups expire. If you want a copy of your guest data before it is deleted, ask us at hello@lizzi.app.

    10. Demonstrating compliance

We will make available to you, on request, the information reasonably needed to demonstrate that we comply with this annex. If that information is not enough, you may have an independent auditor bound by confidentiality inspect our compliance, no more than once a year, with at least 30 days' notice and at your own cost. Inspections of our sub-processors take place through the reports and certifications they provide.

    11. Liability

Liability under this annex is subject to the limits in the Liability section of these terms.
